Moms, bring the Littles for this farm-to-table agventure. From planting seed, fertilizing and harvesting, and then reaping the benefits at our new Hy-Vee Grocery Store, kids will learn all about how food grows and arrives at your local grocer.

My Dinner Came From the Dirt!
Buy your seed, plant, fertilize and water, then harvest. Learn the importance of pollinators, sell your crop, and then go to the new Hy-Vee Grocery Store to buy what you raised. Other fun activities here, too, such as giant games and make-n-take.
Kids Tractor Pull
You may have seen the championships, but this year ALL kids ages 4 to 12 can compete in the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, here at Nebraska State Fair for the first time. Riding vintage 1950s modified tractors, kids try to outpull one another down a 25-foot track. Crowds roar, kids cheer and the world is complete.
State-of-the-art magic brings jaw-dropping amazement for kids. This show is a fun and different way to learn about agriculture, with audience participation mixed in.
2019 Agriculture Stations
In this area, kids will get hands-on interaction with some of the grains grown right here in Nebraska. Celebrating Soybeans, our 2019 Crop Of The Year, presented by the Nebraska Soybean Board,
Kids will get a feel for what it's like to feed farm animals at this station.
Enter the chicken coop to collect an egg and learn more about the crazy function of chickens.
Up-close, personal learning about pollinators in this colorful garden area.
Carrots are so good for you, even the rabbits know! Harvest your very own carrot here.
At the end of the farming journey, explore the Farmer's Market in exchange for "money." Learn all about providing the food we eat, and selling that food to make a living.
Food finally arrives at the Hyvee Grocery Store! After receiving money from the Farmer's Market, kids can buy products just like at the real store. See just how much it takes for food to get to the store -- and how much it costs!
