Jacob Thiem performed with the NoWear BMX Stunt Team at State Fair several years ago as an amateur. When he takes to the box jump in August in Grand Island, it will be as a member of Team USA Worlds team and as 12th ranked BMX Freestyle performer in the world.
Theim is from Kennard, Nebraska and one of only six riders of Team USA who were chosen to ride in the World Championship in Glascow, Scotland. Jacob is currently one of the top three in the USA in addition to his world ranking. Once he completes the competition in mid-August, he is scheduled to perform with the NoWear BMX Stunt Team once again. The stunt team does many shows each year including the Nebraska State Fair.
Karl Hinkley founded NoWear BMX in 2011 in Unadilla. His goal was to provide a space for kids like Jacob, to let loose while staying on the right track–all while learning the ins and outs of BMX. And now, he can provide that space year-round at the indoor Unadilla NoWear BMX Compound.
