Shirley McCallum is the new Sponsorship & Hospitality Manager for the Nebraska State Fair and Aksarben Stock Show.
Shirley brings over 30 years of sales experience to the fair, having owned and operated a photography studio, a interior design business as well as managing the gift shop at the Nebraska Nature Center.
She grew up on a farm near Carleton, Nebraska and graduated from Davenport High School and the University of Nebraska -Kearney with a major in Interior Design. Shirley and her husband, Kurt, have four grown children, Alexa, Brooke, Cade and Sage and have made Grand Island home for 32 years.
Shirley has been active in the community, volunteering with Collage, GISH Booster Club, Comfort Dog Ministry, Grace Foundation, CHI St Francis Auxiliary and Stuhr Museum.
She was very involved in 4-H as a youth in Thayer County and enjoyed showing cattle.
