Butterfly Adventures provides a little education wrapped up in a cocoon of fun. The attraction offers the unique opportunity to interact with live butterflies. Guides show guests how to safely pick up a butterfly with a feeding stick to get an up-close and personal encounter with a butterfly - and a great photo opportunity! Butterfly Adventures presents the life cycle station where you can see the full butterfly life cycle from eggs to caterpillars to pupae. Or, visit the butterfly gardening station to help create beautiful environments for the winged wonders.

With over 40 years of show business experience, Hedrick's Petting Zoo offers a wide range of exotic animals: camels, cavy, zebu, donkeys, pygmy goats, llamas, kangaroos, zebras, and more! Hedrick's also offers camel and pony rides!

Sea Lion Encounters

Sea Lion Encounters features world famous sea lions offering free shows daily, showcasing spectacular sea lion acrobatics and highlighting the amazing relationship between these animals and their devoted caregivers.  Between shows visitors have the unique opportunity to take photos, get a kiss, play fetch, or even pet the sea lions.  Associated with California State Universities, they are a non-profit teaching aquarium founded on conservation and education to promote environmental stewardship and enhance the lives of their rescued and un-releasable sea lions. Sea Lion Encounters can only be found at a select few events yearly, spending the rest of their time at Cal State University engaged in research and educational programs. 

 

ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show

The Wild West goes whack-o when Sheriff Hoppalong Casually and Deputy Leon Jones strap on big iron and face off against dimwit desperadoes Bad Bob and bumbling baby brother Bubba Bob. Sky Tram

• Debuting in 2012, the Sky Tram carried over 30,000 people across the Nebraska State Fair skyline! The SkyTram flies 40 feet in the air and traverses the distance of four football fields, from the Exhibition Building to thesouthern tip of the Cattle Barn. The Sky Tram's more than 50 chairs are outfitted with canopies. The Sky Tram is a permanent installation but only operates during the 11 days of the Nebraska State Fair.The rest of the year, the tram cables and chairs are stored.
