Draft Horse Show

Friday, August 27-Sunday, August 29, Livestock Arena

Experience a full lineup of Hitch, Halter and Farm Team Classes. There will also be a Classic 6 horse Hitch qualifier for both the Mare 6 and Gelding 6. Come see these magnificent horses in action or sign up to compete with your own Draft Horses. See below for a schedule of Draft Horse Competitions:

Friday, August 27th, 6:00 p.m. - Draft Horse Pull hosted by Midwest Dynamometer Horse Pulling from Grinnell, Iowa. Owners - Bryan Davis and Virgil Buffington.

Saturday, August 28th, 6:00 p.m. - First session of the Draft Horse Hitch / Riding / Farm Performance Classes

Sunday, August 29th, 12:00 p.m. - Draft Horse Halter and Showmanship

Sunday, August 29th, 6:00 p.m. - Second session of the Draft Horse Hitch / Riding / Farm Performance Classes

Watch as trained horses dance around the arena. You'll be amazed at the spectacle of these horses!

Team Penning

Wednesday, Sept 1st, 12:00 p.m., Thompson Arena

Be sure to stop by the Thomspon Arena at noon on Wednesday to watch some of the best team penning around. Hosted by the Nebraska Cattlemen and Roger and Monica Williams, you are sure to be amazed at how these horses work to separate the cattle.

Jackpot Barrel Racing

Thursday, Sept. 2nd, Thompson Arena

Compete to win big in the Nebraska State Fair's Jackpot Barrel Racing. Entry is on the day of the show and there are no jump out fees in this competition. There is a minimum of $500 added per run, with a $1,000 Jackpot Bonus.

Exhibitor passes are requires for race entrants. Optional stalling available at $20 per stall.
